We are a long established club that first flew on the site of the old Ramsgate aerodrome many years ago. We now fly at a farm site at Richborough Nr Sandwich . We also fly all year round, seven days a week, however most of our flying takes place on a Saturday and Wednesday. We fly fixed wing both electric and IC from a well mown grass strip. The strip is long enough to be able to get quite large models off.
The club concentrates on the fun aspect of our hobby and we do not run any competions. We are affiliated to the BMFA so their insurance is a requirement for all. Although many of our members might be described as mature we do encourage new comers and have several club instructors. Among our membership are two BMFA examiners so BMFA achievement schemes can be taken.
